The ''Be Beautiful Be Yourself'' fashion show is the biggest fundraising campaign for Down Syndrome in the USA, drawing over 1,200 visitors every year. The fashion show has raised over 7,600,000 dollars for Down Syndrome research, medical care, patronage and education, and has raised awareness about the inequality of funding.

Every year celebrities make their appearance at the fashion show for this special cause. The Global Down Syndrome Foundation presents the ''Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award'' to people who have encouraged their favorite celebrity to help raise awareness of Down Syndrome. Celebrities that have participated in this event are Jamie Fox, Beverly Johnson, Tom Arnold, Jeff Probst, Chauncey Billups, John Lynch and Ed McCaffrey.

This year the fashion show was held at Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center on Saturday 12th November. Jamie Fox, Hilary Swank and Queen Latifah hit the catwalk together with Down Syndrome models. 2.1 million dollars for research and medication were raised during the fashion show, an amount that can provide special care, security and increased opportunities for people with Down Syndrome.

Jamie Foxx’s own sister, Deondra Dixon, has Down Syndrome. Foxx commented that the event ''Be Beautiful, Be Yourself” in Denver, Colorado, was to “raise more money, raise awareness so we can attack this situation and bring eyes to it.”

The event is organized by the Global Down Syndrome Foundation and supported by Haute Couture, Couture, In Vogue, Designer and Trendsetter.
