Biography

Mr. Carlo Mazzi, born in 1949, is the current Chairman of the Prada S.P.A. group, an italian luxury fashion house founded in Milan in 1913. It offers clothing for both men and women, leather goods, footwear, eyewear and fragrances and a Made to Measure service.

Mr. Mazzi attended a course on Mechanical Engineering at the Bologna University in Italy in 1971 where he obtained a degree “cum laude” (with praise). He also obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University of Milan in 1976.

Mr. Carlo Mazzi  has had long standing experience with the Prada company since November 2004 when he served as the Deputy Chairman of the enterprise; after that he was elected as Vice Chairman Prada S.P.A from 2012 to 2014. He then became the Chairman and Executive Director of Prada S.P.A.

Before his experience in the Prada group Mr. Mazzi worked as a Manager of the Large Corporate department of IMI and the San Paolo IMI Bank from 1994 to 2000. He was the Managing Director of IBI S.P.A International Business Advisors Investment in Milan from 2000 to 2004. Mr. Mazzi served as Vice-Chairman and as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Jil Sander AG from 2005 to 2006. He also served as Vice Chairman of IBI Bank AG - Zurich and has held various other corporate finance positions around Europe, including Milan, Florence, Rome and so forth.
