German Institute To Launch International Programme
The ICD launched a new international program to support Nigerian youths. The initiative will enable greater access to higher education and further professional development opportunities.

The Berlin-based Institute for Cultural Diplomacy (ICD) has concluded arrangements to launch an international programme to support Nigerian youths.
The good news was contained in a statement issued by Dickson Omoregie, Nigerian representative of the institute, on May 4 in Abuja, The Punch reports.
Omoregie said that the programme would be within the framework of enabling greater access to educational and professional development opportunities. According to him, the development opportunities would include financial scholarships for more Nigerians youth.
He added that the organization would also officially launch the programme during an international conference, scheduled to hold in Abuja soon.

“In the framework of this programme to support Nigerian youths, the ICD will enable access to higher education opportunities and programmes for many Nigerians in Europe.
“Ìt will also open an international career center in Abuja and Berlin, where Nigerians will also be able to receive professional support and information, as well as job opportunities,” he said.
Omoregie added that the organization would offer free training courses for young Nigerian professionals, both in Nigeria and in Europe. The training would be aimed at providing the participants with professional development skills and strategies for building a successful career.
Meanwile, president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, is reportedly set to scrap the scholarship scheme, which has empowered thousands of indigent Nigerian youths to pursue their educational aspirations abroad and the YouWiN programme.
