The 14th Asia Arts Festival in Quanzhou Aims at Strengthening Cultural Ties between Asian Nations

Between 8th and 15th of November, the city of Quanzhou is hosting the 14th Asia Arts Festival. The first festival was organized in Beijing in 1998, since then the Asia Arts Festival has been held in various cities around China and participation seems to be increasing, thus its obtains more and more fame over the years. The main aim of the event is to improve ties between Asian nations and the enhance level of cooperation in the cultural field.

The 14th Asia Arts Festival is a unique opportunity to experience the diversity of Asian culture. The audience will have the chance to watch many different types of performance from puppetry to painting, the 14th Asia Arts Festival in Quanzhou brings under one roof an enthralling variety of cultural tastes. Artists from over 30 Asian countries and regions have converged on Quanzhou, which is known as a melting pot of Asian culture.

City of Quanzhou is regarded as the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, therefore it has always been a hub of cultural diversity. Taking into consideration the fact that top artists will be gathered in one place at the 14th Asia Arts Festival there is no reason or excuse to miss this enriching spectacle.

According to one of the Bangladeshi performers "Bangladesh possess a very rich heritage of folk culture in our country. That's very important., and we have a very affluent heritage of music as well, and dance. We are very content to come here, and we feel privileged and honored”.

    Asian Arts Festival includes attractions, such as: stage performance, visual art exhibitions, and forums of cultural exchange. The performing arts are deeply rooted in Quanzhou's history. Puppetry shows, or Nanyin music, a traditional opera sung in the Minnan dialect are the best examples of artistic performances. In all, there are more than 250 exhibits from 30 countries. There is no doubt that it is worth it to participate in this event!
